Tim and Peter’s love story started with two wheels and a very good sense of direction. The two met later in life through their shared love of cycling. Their Napa wedding day was a beautiful reflection of the life they’ve built together.
Rather than a traditional wedding venue, Tim and Peter chose to celebrate in the backyard of a dear friend in Napa, surrounded by a small group of close friends and family. It was the kind of day that felt incredibly personal from beginning to end. Cozy, relaxed, and full of little details that made it entirely their own.
One of my favorite details was their ceremony arch. A beautiful stained-glass design that brought such a unique touch to the backyard setting. Their wedding rings were equally special. Both gold, with a stone encased in each design, they were such a thoughtful and unexpected detail to photograph.
The vineyards surrounding the property were beginning their seasonal transition, with the leaves turning beautiful shades of gold and orange. It made for such a gorgeous backdrop throughout the day. There’s something about Napa in this season that feels especially romantic.

The reception was just as sweet as the ceremony. With everyone gathered around, the evening felt more like a dinner party with your favorite people than a traditional wedding reception. Marla Bakery brought extra sweetness to the evening by providing the cake and catering which added perfectly to the celebration portion of the evening. There was so much warmth in the room, and it was easy to see just how loved these two are. These are some of my favorite celebrations to photograph. The ones where everyone can settle in and really enjoy being together.
As a Napa Valley wedding photographer, I especially love celebrations that allow me to take a more photojournalistic approach. Tim and Peter’s day was a perfect example of this. With such an intimate gathering, I could document the candid interactions and quiet moments as they naturally unfolded. Their gallery is a true reflection of the day and the genuine connections shared between everyone there.
Tim and Peter, I adore you both and feel so lucky to have been there to document your day. Getting to celebrate love in all its forms is something I never take for granted. Here’s to many more miles together!
