Cavallo Point set the stage for a San Francisco Bay Area wedding unlike any other. You might picture sunshine and sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge, but on this day, the true star wasn’t just the couple. It was also Karl the Fog, drifting in with its ethereal vibe.
Erin and Jason’s Cavallo Point Lodge wedding was pure vintage 70’s chic, with all the romance of an overcasting Sausalito sky. Nestled at the base of the Golden Gate, Cavallo Point feels like it belongs in both a history book. When Karl shows up, it gifts couples the Bay Area’s most cinematic wedding backdrop ever.

💫 A 1970’s Juliet-Inspired Veil at Cavallo Point

One of the most unforgettable details from this Cavallo Point Lodge wedding was the bride’s 1970’s Juliet-inspired birdcage veil. The delicate netting draped just over her face, giving her look an air of vintage elegance that tied perfectly into the vibe of the day.
Sausalito is known for its coastal breeze, and on this wedding day, it was in full swing. Many veils would have been a challenge, but this one was made for it. No veil weights needed this time. The short, face-framing netting danced gracefully in the wind. It had no problem catching the soft light and creating photographs that felt effortlessly cinematic. It was as if the veil and Karl the Fog were in on the romance, working together to create those perfectly windswept moments.

🌸 A Burst of Color at Cavallo Point
If the fog and 70’s-inspired style set the mood for this Cavallo Point wedding, the flowers from The Little Flower Shop brought the energy. Just imagine tangerine, coral, and buttercream pops mixed with delicate textures. Lush, low arrangements lined the aisle, giving the ceremony a meadow-like feel indoors. Golden afternoon light streamed through the tall windows, making dahlias glow and ranunculus appear almost painted.

The bride’s bouquet was a showstopper in its own. It was fresh, whimsical, and the perfect accessory.

The Little Flower Shop did not just decorate the space, they transformed it into a living, breathing work of art that matched the couple’s personality. I was in awe of the space.

A Guest Book You Can Listen To Forever
Forget the standard pen and paper wedding guest book. They went with a Vintage Voicemail Audio Guest Book from After The Tone™, and it was pure magic. The phone itself was a bold, bright red vintage piece that instantly caught guests’ attention and fit perfectly with the retro vibe of the day.
Throughout the night, friends and family picked up the receiver to leave heartfelt messages, funny stories, and some epic inside jokes from the day. The best part? The couple now has an audio time capsule filled with the voices of their favorite people. There is something so deeply special about hearing the tone in a loved one’s voice (no pun intended). Hearing emotions that you simply can’t capture in writing is the kind of keepsake you’ll treasure for decades. I highly recommend it to all my couples.
